Very nice post. The Ludlow Massacre in Colorado in 1914 provides an interesting lesson for the value of a small number of thoughtful protesters including Mother Jones. A small number of women were successful in highlighting to federal politicians the disturbing event that eventually led to some successes for mining unions.
